Our Stunning Start!
On Tuesday afternoon, the children received a special red bag. Inside the bag there were lots of clues that the children pulled out one by one. The clues consisted of: a picture of Samuel Pepys, an apron, a hat, some bread, a burnt piece of cloth, a candle and a candle stick, a pudding lane sign, a London gazette article and some key questions.
Using any prior or previous learning the children began to unpick these items and discuss if we might know where they have come from. The key questions from the bag is what our historical learning will focus around for this half term. The children absolutely loved getting stuck in and having conversations together about these mysterious clues. This special red bag kick started our theme off in a brilliant way.
