2008 Visit
Anthony Hilldrup, the Deputy Headteacher and Amanda Price from Egerton in the UK visited their partner school in Kenya as part of the Reciprocal Visits scheme. This visit proved to be a turning point in establishing a clear way forward in developing a growing global dimension to the curriculum of both schools. Thematic curriculum packs were developed by the teachers of both schools and exchanged during this visit. The evidence collected from the hard work from both schools in embedding a global dimension enabled them to successfully bid for the Global Curriculum Projects Grant. This funding enables both schools to embed a global dimension through joint projects and activities.
This visit served to further develop our growing friendships and to ensure that through face to face work the teachers can be sure that our plans for future work are continuing to benefit the children and the respective school communities.
